Hey guys I know a lot of people have asked before, but I'm looking to buy a lift. I've heard a lot about Cytech's Double Park and the Rotary Revolution. What do you think is the best one on the market and what do you have??

Thanks!!!!

Until a week ago I would say Cytech but I hear they are having problems with business. I have their lift and it is awesome. I heard good things about Rotary too.

I just purchased a Bend-Pak 7000lb 4 post lift and so far it has been a great lift. I paid $2100 shipped.

If you need the contact for the dealer, let me know and I'll dig up the phone number.

The thing I like about the Bend-Pak is that it states that the distance in between runways is adjustable. Anyone know if the Rotary is as well, or is it a set distance?

P.S.

Our own VCA member Jerry Dobson is a dealer of Rotary lifts.

something he posted in another thread:

"Many of the Viper owners have seen my Four Post lift. I am a dealer for Revolution Lifts. I asked Rotary Lift to provide the Viper Community with a discount.

Here is what they are offering until July 31st 2004:

RFP7 4 post lift
Standard lift w/ extended ramps, 2-drip pans, 2-jack trays, taxes and shipping - $3000.00

RFP7-XLT 4 post lift
Extended lift w/ extended ramps, 2-drip pans, 2 jack trays, taxes and shipping - $3275.00

Lifts come in several colors: Black, Yellow, Red, Blue.

You can choose the voltage: 110 volt or 220 volt

Delivery time is usually about three weeks.

I am not making any money on this offer. I am not involved in the transaction. You can pay with MasterCard or Visa. To place an order call Revolution at 1-800-604-3359 and talk to Donnie. Tell him that you want the Viper Club discount. "

On the Bend-Pak I have, the runways are not adjustable.

My total was $2300 with 3 drip trays and 2 jacking trays. Took about 2 weeks for delivery and credit cards were not a problem. But the lift only comes in the standard Bend-Pak blue.

I think that Rotary Revolution is the only lift that has a double catch lock. The lift locks into position. If the cable snaps, a secondary latch will catch.

So for the lift to drop the car:
1) The cable would have to break
2) The safety latch would have to break
3) The cable latch would have to fail

This is one of the reasons the Revolution is ALI certified.

On July 22nd there was a 9.5% price increase due to the cost of steel going up. I just got my new price sheet and there was a very noticeable increase.

Here is the good part, I will sell any VCA member a lift at cost! I won't even make a dollar. I think I saved Andy about 500 bucks. Just call Revolution and tell them you want the Viper Club Discount mentioned above.

1meansnake - I have moved mine twice. Fairly easy if you have access to a flatbed trailer. You basically lower the lift on the flatbed and then draw up the legs with straps.

You need a wide enough door though to get it in and out. A 9 ft door should be enough for most.
