Each transmission has its own specific attributes.This tranny is used in F-car applications, Viper, Aston Martin as well as a specific earlier F-car retro application. These transmissions listed above are all similar in that they are for applications where the motor and trans are directly connected via the bellhousing. Most are different in Bellhousing configuration as well as linkage (shifter) placement, and tranny mount location. The Viper, GM and Aston applications use a 26 spline input shaft. The Ford applications use a 10 spline. Gearing for the Mustang trannys is as follows; 2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1.00, .80, .62 with 3.28 reverse gear. The retro Camaro tranny also shares this gearing. The other trannys have a 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, .74, .50, and 2.90 reverse gear. The output shafts vary between 27, 30, and 31 teeth. the Viper has a 30 tooth output shaft. So to answer your question Viper has a specific pattern and dimension that is unique to itself. As for the Corvette, it is essentialy a transaxle type arrangement with a torque tube like the Porsche 928. This tranny will definetely not work with any conventional arrangement. Three transmission variants are available for the Corvette. The standard Corvette tranny, the Z06, and the close ratio box just released by GM for racing. The standard Corvette tranny shares similar Viper tranny gearing at 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, .74, .50 and 2.90 reverse gear. The Z06 tranny is a wider ratio tranny to accomodate the larger camshaft in that option package. 2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1.00, .84, .56 and a 2.90 reverse gear.
