Hi all, i'm looking for a GTS just a long time. Now i have found 2 cars. A 97 B&W GTS with 4K miles on it and a black 2000 GTS with 600 miles. My question: is there a difference between 97 and 00 to drive. I mean is a 2000 GTS better to drive than a 97. My favorite is the 97 B&W, but the black one is very nice too.
OK, my english is really not the best. I hope you understand what i mean.

I would go with the 97 B/W. It is one of the best color combos. The engine in the 97 is also better for performance and has more of a shake to the car because of the 708 cam. I don't know the exacts of the engine differences but i am sure that some one will post them.

I would get whichever color you like best.

The 2000s have some upgrades like power mirrors and inside hatch release. Also, the 18' wheels over the 17s on the previous years.

The '99s and down do idle with a rumble compared to later cars, but there is no power difference. If heavily modifying your car is in your plans, the earlier cars pistons will stand up to more.

I had a '96 and now a 2000. Drivability is no different.

The pre 2000 engines had Forged Pistons and a better cam. The 2000 has ABS, the 97 does not. Plus the 2000 has 18 inch wheels, not that you couldnt change them on the 97. I assume money is no object here?

It depends on if you plan to add forced induction to the car. If you are, go with the older car as the pistons can handle more power. If not, it really doesn't matter much. You do get better wheels with the 00 and cooler inner door handles.

2000's Do NOT have ABS, just to clarify.

The B&W was my faroite color when I was young, and now that I'm old (21), I still love it! That's why I bought one!
