97 stripe question

i have a 97 gts with stripes applied at the dealer when it was new. they were painted on. i am doing a repaint to b/w and want to know if original stripes were paint or vinyl. i have seen a 96 white and blue rt10 with vinyl stripes. anyone know the answer. thanks, rich.

IF you're doing it '97 style, make sure you don't go through the license plate.

Paint and as stated by Brandon, it does not got thru' the license plate area.

Also, 97 and up GTS stripes are a bit narrower than the 96 GTS stripes. Do a search for the exact widths.
