98 GTS with tubes and K&N\'s, 414.9HP & 451.2 ft.lbs. Torque

My 98 GTS with 6,000+ miles is stock except Smooth Tubes and K&N's. At 3700rpm Torque is 450.8
At 3800rpm Torque is 446.8
" 3900rpm " " 443.5
" 4000rpm " " 437.8
" 4100rpm " " 438.9
" 4200rpm " " 438.7
" 4300rpm " " 450.7
" 4400rpm " " 450.4
" 4500rpm " " 447.9

Does anyone know why there is a dip in torque between 3700rpm and 4300rpm? Is this common?

Those numbers are comparable to mine. Bone stock, my max HP was 407.2 with my max torque at 444.8. It had a dip in torque precisely at 3700 with some gain at 4100-4300. The K&ns alone boosted my max hp to 421.9 and torque to 452.7, but the dip was still there.

Here we go again with this stock vs. non-stock verbage. Brad disclosed his mods in a very nice way and we get guys like HEMIDAYTNA who just have to add something.

Yes, I too made a post regarding stock vs non-stock and HEMIDAYTNA was compelled to add his 2 cents (just wish he/she understood enough of the english language to understand all the words used---i.e. EXCEPT!!)

HEMIDAYTNA do everyone a favor and look that word (EXCEPT) up in a dictionary!! Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, so enjoy
