VCA family: For reasons that are hard to put into words, I'm selling my 2001 RT/10. It has 3435 miles, (but it is a beautiful day here in Orlando, so it might get a few more!). It has roughly $5000 in add-ons. Never raced, never been in the rain, garaged with cover. Serviced only by Larry Macedo in Orlando. I am in no hurry to sell, can I get some advice on expected selling price?

Thats a bummer ..Your RT looks beautiful.
I think there was a guy on this forum the other day looking for a Sapphire Blue RT.

Depending on how long you are willing to wait for a buyer will dictate how much you should ask.

If you want to sell the car relatively fast I'd suggest an asking price of $52K-$54K...If you are in no rush then ask $58K - $59 K..Your color combo is rare and with summer around the corner the demand for RT"s should pick up.

Good Luck !

Thanks for the advice. For those of you who have used the VCA classified section, are the ads usually successful or are they just links for dealers?

Beautiful car, its too bad you have to sell. When I was in the market, I looked all over (including the VCA classifieds everyday) until the right one came up. Found what I was looking for here. VCA should be your first step, plus its free to members. Good luck

My advise is: DO NOT SELL ...You will go out a later date like today and wish you had a beautiful car to drive on a spectacular Florida day to drive.....and it will be gone forever. ...

Cuda,
I sold for my dreamhome with dream garages. so in the next few years i will have another snake.. so it can be done and not gone forever...
and with the sweet deals as of late.. probably sooner than later..

Hi Kevin,

Your car should sell rather fast given its color and condition. If I would have known about your car a few days sooner, I would have purchased. When we spoke, I was already in the process of buying the new 01 car from Nelson. Anyway, I can tell you I would have paid 57K for your car. So, thought I would supply you with some feedback from a guy who just spent 5 months looking for the same car you now have for sale. Take care,

Danny

Thanks for the encouragement concerning the VCA website. Cudaman, I will not let this car go for an unworthy price. And you're right, there are some great RT/10 days here in central Florida. I would like to sell this car to someone in Florida so that they can inspect it first hand. I would appreciate if the Florida members would spread the word. Thanks!

Fellow Sapphire owner- if you do sell, don't settle for just any price.

These cars are good at holding their value as long as we ALL keep the resale prices high. ( we are only hurting one and other when we "just settle")

These cars are going to be a classic, especially since the gen 2 is no longer in production.

My advice 58-61K

Good Luck

Thanks again, for the advice. It was a beautiful day today and I took a bunch of new digital photos. I'm going to be posting a VCA classified ad within the next 1 to 2 days.
