alarm system 2002

I have a 2002 RT10. Every now and then when I get into the car, I put the key in the igntion and the doors lock, alarm goes off and the care will not start. I tried deactivating the alarm with the FOB and nothing happens, Get out disconnect the battery wait a few seconds, hook up the battery and press both buttons on the FOB. Car goes back to normal. What causes the alarm to go off by itself? Battery was full charge ( 13.1)

Try changing the battery in the fob. Have you tried disarming the system using the key in the glove box?

You may have a short in the system or a bad alarm module.
