I love 'em for the street, but they're 19's and no one makes a super stickey tire for them like the Kuhmos or BFG drag radials. Forgeline makes them in 18" though, and build quality is great. My 19's weigh less than my stock 17" setup.
19" VR1's 22lb. rear, 20lb. front.
18" VR1's 19lb. rear, 18lb. front.

Has anyone addressed the fitness problem yet? I've contacted forgeline, and they don't have any control over the backspacing.

The VR1s on a gen II will rub if you lower the car more than 1". Mine is lowered about 1 1/2".
If you have a gen I, don't even think about lowering.

You may try a 315 tire instead of the 345s.

Thanks John,only mods I've done are painted red dash and some MGW pieces, exhaust and clear side markers.
