Are GEN II and GEN I halfshafts interchngeable ???

I blew an axle shaft on my 1994 car. I have an opportunity to get a GEN II (98-99) halfshaft from a local guy. Does anyone know if those are interchangeable?

I believe they are. I don't see any difference in the three I have.

Dodge did make some minor running changes to the slip yoke tolerances in an effort to reduce backlash.
