For anyone interested, there is a website that shows a lot of the regional autocross events (SCCA, ORPCA, BMWCCA, etc.), including location and registration requirements. You can also register for most of the events online as well.

For those who haven't been to one, it's an excellent chance to improve your driving skills in a controlled environment. Speeds are not generally high (under 50mph); the emphasis is on handling and braking skills. Experienced drivers/instructors are available at most events to ride along and give instruction. Some of the events (notably the March 13 ORPCA Driver Skills Clinic) are specifically focused on new auto-x'ers and honing skills. If you're not sure you want to try, just come on out and watch; spectating is always free!
