Bellanger, Corsa, Random Tech, Uni-Chip, K&N, dyno tune, hp/trq #\'s

Preparing to have Woodhouse install Bellanger headers, Corsa/Random tech exhaust/cats as well as K&Ns and the uni-chip and dyno tune to my currently stock GTS. Will also have them install their Woodhouse modified shifter. I was told the dyno tune is on a Mustang dyno and they will spend whatever time is needed to bring out the best in the car and ensure the A/F is safe. I'll take the car to Denver on a Dynojet next year and know that numbers will be down a bit given increase in elevation.

I've looked through the archives about power/torque improvements but they were about a year ago so I thought I'd ask again. I will have the car dynoed both before and after the upgrades so I will of course pass on my results.

Thought about them installing a Paxton while they have it but I'll save that for next year after I pay off what I'm doing now. I forget what the general scale/formula is for improvements in horsepower/torque relates to faster 1/4 mile times but I can look it up or if you know I'd appreciate it.

Any experiences and thoughts are appreciated.

Dave: The "old rule of thumb" in drag racing was 10 HP per tenth second off your quarter mile time. So 30BHP = .30 difference in time, 300BHP = 3.00 difference in time. Of course assuming many things, one of which is that you are correctly putting the power to the ground. I am sure there is a point where the "rule" breaks down because of diminishing returns. But if you add 200BHP you can probably run mid 10's if the power is put to the ground with efficient traction.
