ok Does anybody, and I mean anybody! Have the old episodes of "viper" (yes the TV show on NBC) on tape and can make a copy?

It's been bugging me cause I really liked that show. Most of you might remember the first all blue GTS. Absoultely stunning color and it had Gen I RT/10 rims too! I wish I had pics but right now if anybody has any episode from the series and could send it out that would be great!

Thanks
Ron

I heard there was some big conspiracy about them selling the cars dodge provided and a bunch of them got charged or something (the producers)

I can convert them to DVD. How many tapes?

So here's the logistics of conversion... I just checked tvtome. There are over 50 episodes. That will mean approx 25 dvd's and 100hrs for the first set of dvd's. Subsequent sets will take 50hrs to burn without an industrial duplicator.

The cost is negligible... blank dvd's and some postage is no big deal. The problem is it would just take all of my time and computer's usage to churn these dvd's out.

Viper GTS-R: bottom line, since you asked for it first, I'd be happy to make a set for you if you're willing to wait a while for them. Unfortunately, I won't be able to offer this to anyone else.

99GTSACR: It's a lot of tapes... +50 hrs worth... perhaps we can gather every member who has the capacity to do the conversioon and we can split the task amongst us. I can handle 5 hours and 2-3 sets if we can find 10 participants.

Another solution would be to send the tapes to a professional converter. It costs about $5/hr for transfer (and lower at bulk rate for 50hrs). The turnaround time would be days instead of weeks or months in my case.

Warfang,
That's very awesome of you to do that! I can wait I have no probablem. BTW I found out the place where they made the viper defender. Code one auto (located in Raritan, New Jersey!) makes all the TV and movie cars such as 007 James Bond's Aston Martin and the Batmobile. I sent an e-mail to see if they still have the defender. If they do I might take a ride to do a write up and take pictures.

Due to copyright issues, price cannot be a factor (or face the ugly lawyers). I think there are 4-5 people here interested in a copy. Unfortunately, I cannot crank out that many copies without tying up my computer for weeks not to mention the time for me to do it, so my offer only stands for the original poster.

Another solution is to compress the video to an mpeg/quicktime format that will be playable on your computer only. That would make the duplication easier.
