Hello -- I cannot get the bright lights to stay on on my 95 rt/10. When I pull the stalk back, the brights come on.. but, when I let go.. they go back to low beam. It even feels like it clicks when I pull it back.. but they won't stay on. Any ideas?

thanks

I'll vote for a broken high-beam switch which would need to be replaced. (I'm not sure what you're looking for, as this would seem to be the self-evident answer).

Thanks for the input.. and the sarcasm. What I'm looking for is a little insight as I'm brand new at these cars. Something like:

"Hey these cars are unique. You've got to press the emergency brake release as you're flapping your right arm like a chicken while backing off of the accelerator and calling your wife hands free to make the brights work."

I know very little about this car.. but, am anxious to learn. When the brights came on, but wouldn't stay on.. I figured I must have been doing something wrong. I usually blame me before blaming the car.

Well, there was really no sarcasm intended - it sounds like a broken switch. What else can we say? I assume you've tried pushing forward on the switch? I can't recall at the moment whether the Gen I used a "pull" for momentary flash-to-pass and "push" to switch.

yup.. tried both.. and don't want to push too far.. and break it. Just wondering if there's some system with this year Viper that I'm not aware of.
