CAAP - THE ONE AND ONLY! IT\'S OFFICIAL

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am honored to announce that Conner Avenue Assembly Plant is now officially the ONLY assembly plant in North America that builds their own engines in-house (from the bare block up), right next to the car assembly line!

Our friend and retired Viper Plant Manager John Hinckley had planned this new line, and the installation started when he retired back in February. Here's a few words from "the Man" himself:

"After coffee and lots of "welcome back" handshakes (great folks!), the first engine was transferred into the computerized cold-test station (seals all 10 exhaust ports with air pressure/velocity probes, seals all coolant openings, fills with oil, connects probes for oil pressure, seals crankcase with pressure/vacuum sensors, seals throttle body intakes with more sensors, engages geared electric drive motor loaded with torque/velocity sensors to balancer bolt, pressurizes coolant and oil cavities to read any decay, and rotates the engine at three different low-rpm speeds, comparing torque required against pre-set limits, and compares 42 other test parameters against pre-set values); "green screen" on the monitor, all tests passed.

Then into the hot-test cell where it runs on natural gas with more sensors all over it for five minutes - another "green screen", all OK. Great joy and satisfaction was had by all, including my millwrights, electricians, and pipefitters who helped install it. Then spent two hours walking both lines and said hello to every guy and gal in the plant, just as I used to do every morning.

Felt good to see everyone again, and to see that engine line come to life, just as we planned, building 100%-OK "torque-monsters" right off the bat. Had to share this - made me proud to have been their Plant Manager. I love it when a plan comes together :)"

....These excerpts were from no other than the man himself, former plant manager and officially "happily retired!"...

Mr John Hinckley!

Thanks John....and congrats! I'm sure it made YOU proud, but we too are proud of all of YOUR accomplishments. Who else can we say helped in the birth of THOUSANDS of SNAKES!
