CCW SP20\'s???

Anyone running these on an RT/10? I've been looking for a set of wheels for a little while and these seem to be the only ones that my wife and I both like. Any input on what sizes I should get? I was thinking 18's or 19's or 18 front/19 rear...

I found a couple pics on a GTS with 19's all around (from "forensicsteve"):

Re: CCW SP20\'s???

no one has any input?

well, I've been trying to decide what size I want. I'm a little concerned about the overall diameter of the tires when going up in rim diameter and its impact on the speedometer. My understanding is the speedometer is calibrated to revolutions of the rear wheels, so increasing the overall diameter (not talking about rim diamter) of the rear tires will change speedometer accuracies...

The overall diameter is from the Michelin website. Although it doesn't provide units, it appears the measurement is inches. However, it doesn't matter because the units go away when calculating the unitless ratio and the speed difference calculation is accurate.

Example: Assuming the speedometer is accurate running Pilot Sport 335/35-17 (what I have now), then reading 80mph with the Pilot Sport 345/30-19 means you are actually travelling at 84mph. The circumference is greater with the 19 inch tire, so with every revolution you have traveled 0.32 inches farther than you would have with the 17 inch tire, and are thus traveling faster than indicated.

Note: The problem with the above assumption is the Pilot Sport was not the original tire the '94 VIPER came with, it was the XGTZ. As I understand it, the XGTZ has a larger overall diameter than the Pilot Sport, so maybe the 19" Pilot Sport is closer to the original configuration.

If anyone can find specs for the XGTZ let me know...
