Changing Bulbs

I currently have an '08 SRT10.
A friend of mine has given me a brand new set of HID H3 8000K Bosch bulbs, and I want to know if I can just plug them in and go or will I have to change the ballasts to the Bosch ballasts as well?

The ballast should be the same and work. The 8000K is just the color the bulb will burn. It will be more blue than current bulb you have now. I have 6000K in my fog lamps and 4500K in my low beams.

is it a direct fit? no mods?

Now that is another question. You need to look at your owners manual. I think, could be wrong, but the bulb in your car now is a HID-D1S, not an H3. So you may have to mod it to fit but the ballast should work.
