Chicago area tire balancing?

Why don't you call TireRack? Buy the tire from them and drive there to have it mounted and balanced. You'll probably save some money on the price of the tire and they won't beat up your wheel in the process. They are only about 1 1/2 or 2 hours from Chicago and the drive is worth it to get the job done right (i.e. without damage to the wheel).

Not sure if you got my rambling phone message so I'll post here. I highly recommend KO Tire in Elk Grove (847.439.6986). KO is a family run business and were recommended to me by a close friend. I took my 335-35-17 to them for a patch last year. They let me hang out in the shop during the process and ask a bunch of questions. No problems balancing it either. They do a first rate job and don't charge a fortune.
