I am looking for some thing to put over my cockpit in the event I get caught in a passing shower-just some thing I can put over it while waiting for the rain to pass. I looked at the 3 piece hard top and while it's very nice, I do not drive the car when expecting rain so I really don't want to drop 3K on some thing that will rarely be used. I need some thing that I can put in the trunk and can be used in a matter of minutes. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

I have a T-cover in the classifieds in near new condition. PM me if interested. Also, you can drive with the T-cover installed, the drivers side can be unzipped for use while driving.

Its a fabric and leather (or something like leather) cover that covers the cockpit, but ofcourse, the car is undrivable while its on

There's a zipper that should allow you to uncover the drivers side, but I've never tried to drive with it. ;)

the tonneau was a factory option and you must intall platic "cups/brackets" to make it work. the cockpit cover will cover windshield and rear window and sides whil parked not for use when driving. check my gallery pg 5 of my old yellow rt that is a cockpit cover

Thanks to all who chimed in.

Sylvan-that is exactly what I am talking about. Any idea where I can get one? Thanks a lot!

Hmm i'd say the bikini cover, you can get it from john B at partsrack i think.
I don't think the tonneau cover is waterproof.
BUT i still must suggest the three piece top, TRUST ME i hated the top on my RT/10 but with the new three piece top on my car i love to drive with it on OR off. Check out my pics in my gallery. It really makes the RT/10 look GREAT!

This is true for a Gen II Tonneau cover, but not the Gen I! They look similar, but attach differently. The Gen I cover snaps in place front and rear(covering the seats and steering wheel), and locks into the slots where the windowns would be.

Bruce, I sent you an e mail but it got returned. Do you mean you have a tonneau cover or a bikini cover? If it's the bikini cover that vovers the front and back window I'll take it. Thanks a lot!

Have to agree with Juiced........I am actually top heavy.......I have the factory hard top, the factory soft top, the factory tonneau cover, the 3 piece w/ scoop top and a bikini cover.........luckly I have plenty of room in my garage! LOL!!!!

Jon @ PartsRack will be able to assist you no matter which way you want to go.

Good luck!
