Could you add a Gen II exterior door handle to a Gen I?

Nice idea, but not sure if it's possible without major modification. The GEN II door handles are electric push button I believe.

Sounds like a kit asking to be made up. Do you want a door handle just like the Gen 2 or simply a way to open the door from the outside?

I've seen someone attach a gen II handle to Vipermania windows. There was a quick connect plug to the door, apparently spliced into main wiring harness. The guy had custom windows made without the vent (gutsy).

I would like to be able to open the door from the outside. I am sure I could make it to when you push the button it will activate the door poper. I was thinking of adding some custom made windows to the car, with no vent. I dont like the idea of anyone beable to reach inside and get into my car. But how then would I unlock the car? Maybe a power door lock kit to first unlock the the door with a alarm keyless entry, and I could then use the door handle or door popper on the keypad. Thoughts?

Anyone have a price on a set of door handles and the plastic part for the window post?

Do the the Door poppers. I did on my old 96, and they were great. Fun to have people come up and look in, then pop the door for them with the remote
