ADP = Dealer adjusted price of $15,000. It's funny because 13 years later you can read the window sticker and see Tim Marburger Dodge, "Where the spirit always shows." Now 13 years later go to their web site and try to find either a used OR New Viper in stock. Their search engine does not even list Viper as a choice for a new car. I guess folks decided not to give Tim their Viper business any more!

$199k markup? That is one of the reasons the automobile industry has the type name it does now. All a bunch of crooks looking to screw over their customers. Luckily, we have Tator, Woodhouse, etc. to buy from and not be ripped off!

Don't you think that $199k markup was just a way of saying "Not For Sale"?

The dealer wanted it in the showroom to bring in a crowd.

He had no desire to sell the car. He wasn't trying to screw anyone.

$199,999 ADP is a joke

I thought it would be more than $15,000 though.
S2000 had a minimum $15000 ADP in 2000.
ADP = Additional Dealer Profit. Yes they are crooks but if you want to play you must pay

i remember seeing in the dupont registry, i believe around 1992, ads that said "now accepting offers over $100,000.

way before the car even came out, the hype and excitement was simply crazy. that window sticker doesnt suprise me at all. hey, it never hurts to ask. what i would love to know is - DID THEY GET IT? unfortunately, quite possibly. the buyer would never admit to it though.

That"s when I felt I'd never be able to own a Viper. When you started hearing about the huge mark-ups they were putting on the cars.

S2000 had a minimum $15000 ADP in 2000.

Only if you were a *******. I called multiple places throughout the state of Virginia right at the debut, and found several with cars available right then (i.e., no b.s. wait) that were $3-8k over MSRP.
