Disconnecting the battery

I know there's a positive post under the hood to be used if I ever need to jump my Viper off, but my question is what if I ever need to disconnect the negative cable (to do something electrical for example)? My battery is in the rear driver side quarter panel. Is there a shortcut or do I really have to remove the rear wheel and splash shield to access the negative terminal?

I would always remove the ground at the battery. The remote terminals do not kill the power to everything. You could disconnect under the hood and still fry things.

I have not tried it yet but it looked like you could fish your arm up there without removing the wheel/shield.

Is there a remote ground terminal somewhere? I've seen the positive terminal but never a remote ground

It is down by the side sill covered with a green plastic cap. I don't think you can disconnect it though.

Disconnecting the post under the hood DEFINITELY does not disconnect the battery. Trust me...I found out.

Would be a nice mod to cut a hole in the splash shield and install a rubber donut like the one in front of the wheel to access the facia coolant tank.
