Does the 10 quart oil pan sit lower than the 8.5 quart pan?

More specifically: Does the 10 quart pan sit lower than the bottom of the frame rails.

Yes...at least on our 01 that just happens to be up on the lift right now.

UPDATE: David, the '01 oil pan mentioned above appears to hang about 1/4" below rails at rear of pan and 1/2" at the drain plug...can't get any better idea for now as a Viper is under the '01.

Thanks Steve. I bought a car last month with a full belly undertray... that explains why it only has an 8.5 quart pan.
