I'll be installing a aluminum radiator soon, should I change my thermostat too? I know its a ***** to get to. I've been doing some reading and I'm not sure how good it is for the engine to run at 180 degrees, seems like 190-195 would be better. Right now I would just like for it to cool off faster when the fan kicks on, which I'm hoping the radiator swap will accomplish.

I did the radiator, water pump, Roe hoses, 180 stat, sending unit all at once.

$1700 bucks and a brand new cooling system.

Already had the Roe fan kit.

If you join the VCA you can get to the Illustrated Upgrade section where I did a write up on the t-stat change.

With your fan kicking on at 220 or whatever it is, the OE stat is open just like the 180 will be.

At highway speed, you'll actually run cooler with the 180 stat, but not in traffic unless you lower the fan on temp with a reflash.

I suppose I would have to physically send my ecm in for a reflash?
