Drove an SRTC today...

Got to drive an srtc hard today. Have driven the verts many times, but this was the first time in a hardtop. First impression: Awesome looks! Looks almost good enough to trade in my GTS for, but I'm too emotionally attached to it. Handles great, better than the vert, brakes about the same, but power seems a hair less... could be the added weight, or perhaps since the coupe is more rigid, the added stability "felt" slower.

Overall, VERY impressed! Guess I'll have to strive for that 2 Viper household.

I thought the vert and coupe were supposed to weigh the same?

You are right about the coupe being slower. The mags that tested both reported just slightly slower 1/4 mile times in the coupe than in the vert.

I drove the SRT's at VOI I loved the brakes and comfort inside. But I could never sell My GTS for one..

I just might be tempted with my GTS based on the '08 to be unveiled in Detroit in January... Would love to keep both ideally...
