Hi! I am an Italian GTS owner. Unluckyly Vipers lose power crossing the ocean. The European version of the GTS is rated at 385 H.P. only. Does anybody know wich modifications are made to match the severe European emission control rules? I would like to reverse these modification to gain the original 450 H.P. !!
My GTS is a 2000 model. Thanks for any help!! I must gain power to keep good pace in tha Ferraris land!!!

I believe it is mostly modifications to the exhaust and possibly intake. I am sure you will get some good help from our other wonderful European members that post here. Oh, and I went ahead and changed the title of the thread as Bryan suggested - I think you will get some GREAT answers!

First off the easy job, the air flow is restricted into the airbox by a reducer, remove the airbox and seperate it in half remove the offending peice, I watched *** perform this surgery at
a recent GT race, a 5 minute job with the aid of a pen knife. The
Euro exhaust has an extra muffler which can be removed helping the flow of gases. There is also some ECU trickery, which is harder to overcome. Try the search area on the site for more info

Hello Claudio:
Welcome. As far as I know, we do have a different computer for controlling the engine. Changing the air box, the computer and the exhaust system will "release" 70-80 hp. However, the US-computer needs 4 O2-sensors and the EU-model has 2 O2-sensors only.
