Floating gas gauge

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced a problem with a floating gas gauge? I've got a 96' RT/10 and the gas gauge can fluctuate usually about 1/8 of a tank. It happens with any level of gas in the car. Any suggestions on how to fix it? TIA

mine doesnt work at all. just always on E
full or not.

any ideas on that?

ive noticed that when i get shell gas, occasionally the gauge will fluctuate about 1/4 tank under accel. but with BP it usually doesnt fluctuate, and if it does its no more than 1/8th. just have to accept that vipers arent really "refined" i guess.
