Although I don't have an ACR and haven't done this myself, I have worked in this area before.
When I recently installed clear side markers I had to work inside the compartment when the fog lights are. There is a rubber flap in front of the front wheels which justs squeezes in place. I had to take this rubber cap out to get at the side markers. It was easy to get at and not a problem at all. Just make sure you turn the wheels to full lock away from the cap. While doing the job, I looked inside to what's going on in there.
There are several wires inside that clamp onto the foglights and side markers. I would believe that ACR's don't have this wiring since they dont have foglights. The wires might just be capped off, but I am not sure. This could be one probable problem area that you would run into.
I don't believe that the lights are "bracketed" to the fascia. It seemed to me that they just screw in place.
If you do go ahead and do it, you probably (depending on how dexterous you are) will have to take off the front fascia. While it was easy to install the front side markers, I don't believe it would be possible to be able to have enough area to work with the much larger fog lights. This ain't a problem though. In front of each wheel there are 5 screws that hold the fascia in place. Back them out and the fascia comes right off.
Hope this helps. When I was looking to buy an FE I really considered an ACR. The only thing is I really wasn't going to race the car and I did not like the "empty" look that the deletion of fog lights causes. Also, I live out in a rural area where there aren't any street lights so I need all the light I can get. I am not sure if the SRT's come with Xenons, but the lights that come with the GTS leave much to be desired.
Best of luck!
