I have #68 of 1993 RT-10, 5500 original miles, never seen water, and always garage kept and covered. The problems that i have are as follows....

1. The front fascia when looked at from the front, the driver's side air intake is flared out or warped. This has been the cause for the engine to run extremely hot and losing the ability to take in air to pass through the radiator and thus cool the engine.
2. The panel fascia glovebox door (part #4642743), and the door panel upper mounting (part # 4643665). These parts are covered by a felt-like material that it became sticky and easily falls off from the lightest touch, leaving marks on the entire surface.
3. The lower part of the pad assembly for the sort cap, the sport cap close out panel molding has dropped off the assembly, causing it to drag and hang low from the place it should be. This part is located in the inside behind the central stop light.

And to my surprise, Dodge wants nothing to do with this problem, or help me out....any suggestions? Please e-mail me with a subject of "Viper". Thanks
Antonio

The 1992-93 facia needed a 'facelift" as early as 1994.

The fix is strofoam facia inserts that re-form the facia. I suspect you have the dreaded "Viper Colic" of trapped air, very problematic in 1992-93...much more than later years.

See the main page, under FAQ section "Why is My Viper Hot" or some such. Better yet, see www.socalviper.com, tech notes, titled "surge tank" Unfortunately, this site has not seen fet to make it readily accessible, and it is too long to re-type every time!

As for the dash.....the injected foam dashes and door trim of 92-95 are apparently degrading with air pollution. PartsRack sold an entire kit, all 5 dash/consolepieces last week, for about $500. Better fix while parts are still available. Few are!

The sport-cap-trim-pad-surround falling off should be a simple fix. "Dodge wants nothing to do with the problem" really means your DEALER is clueless?? What are you saying?

If you call me M-Sa, 8a-5p Pacific, I'll try to help. 360.837.3937 JonB

Thanks Jon for the suggestions for the problems. I just now saw that the extended warranty ends on Feb 20! I better run on Monday and get things done! Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
