Anybody with experience with the new G-tech pro RR and SS models compared to real ETs from the the track? Are there other products which may produce more accurate results? What are the limitations to these things?

I took it to the dragstrip and the times were within 0.1 seconds. No need to go to the gragstrip anymore, it is that accurate.

And now you can download the road racing software that I look forward to using at the next track day.

do you have to make sure this unit is level with the ground? I sold my gtech some time back due to this aggrevation.

I have never even tried the HP/TQ rating. The quarter mile is excellent and the 0-60.

The Road Racing upgrade is really cool for tracking your smoothness in the turns and your maximum g's.

Very good and accurate device.

The only thing to callibrate really accurately is the weight of the vehicule.

You can use it as a shift light and can warn you if you exceeds grip limit in turns.

not safe to test the quarter in really. my car tracks at over 130 in the quarter so where the hell would i feel safe drag'n it down a road where a cop could pin me at 2-3 times the limit! F-the gtech, go to the track, if its not accurate on the horsepower and torque who needs it.

Because:
IF I add a certain cold air intake device that advertised +50 rwhp guaranteed! and I see a drop in 0-60, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times....

If I see an increase, I want my money back.

It's cool to be able to download the proof of any mod to my computer and see what works and what doesn't. Without having to wait for the track day and the variable weather conditions on that day.

Took my Pro RR to an Autocross this weekend. Really usefull for analyzing what you did wrong. I can easilly tell that I was around 80% of the car capabilities around most corners. Now I know exactly what to work on next time.
