The Gateway VCA held their annual Christmas party on 12/9/00.
Steve Wedel and his wife Lynn were gracious enough to host the party at their home.

Everyone had a great time there, with lots of Viper socializing and lots of good food and drink.

After a few hours of socializing Santa Claus made a suprise visit to the party. He read to us the adult version of "The Night Before Christmas" along with some other stories, which had everyone laughing hysterically. After a some group pictures with Santa around Marcus's (of Kansas City) 2001 Yellow GTS, santa got in his S/10 Blazer (yea, we gave him trouble over that)and he drove away.

It was at this time that the club members awarded Steve Wedel a beautiful plaque to thank him for his years of service as Club President (Steve is moving up to a new postion in the National VCA).

Next on the agenda was the Club Auction. The members donate items that are viper or auto related which are auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Club. There were lots of very cool items. I won the bidding on a small framed VOI6 poster and some Laguna Seca memoribilia signed by Oliver Beretta, Tommy Archer and David Donohue had autographed.

After a few more hours of partying the event slowly wound down and came to an end.

Here's a link to the other pics.
