Well, the auction is still going as of Monday morning. Good price for a blue/white for sure. Make sure you ask them point blank if it has been in an accident or not. "Our dealership has run a comprehensive independent report to detect any odometer manipulation with none detected. It appears there has been no smoking inside this vehicle. There are no obvious signs that this vehicle has been in a collision." That doesn't mean it is accident free, just that the obvious signs aren't there, but many others may be. That is the only thing I can think of to question, and even then it may have a perfectly clean history. Pretty car and a good price!

Not that it may matter, but did anyone notice that it was the same Seller for both Vipers?
Also, don't be fooled by the balance due or current bid.
I have bid on some ebay items and the bidding go fanatical in the last 1 or 2 minutes so you don't always see the true final price.

I have sat in that car; it is at Highline Motors near Keystone. It has brand spanking new fender wells (sticker still attached, not factory) & overspray under the hood near the vents. The hood doesn't close well either. Seems the pull cord likes to malfunction & the hasp locks while the hood is up.

It's been wrecked, in my OPINION. They were asking 52 for it fyi. I told them they were way off base with that & they didn't like my opinion. They are lucky to get 45.

So I have found another one, 96 GTS, with fewer miles & a one year warranty for 48K even. I'm sitting here right now trying to decide. I have everything in place, just need the gumption.

Somebody help me. I can't get it home b/c of the snow & it's going to kill me to have it sitting there after I sign for it.

Big Medicine, thank you for your helpful information. After hearing a bunch of horror stories I think Im sold on talking to Bill Pemberton and going to Woodhouse. A member here highly recommended him and from what I have seen on here, so does everyone else. Im so excited to get one that just thinking about it last night almost gave me a anxiety attack.

I never dealt with Bill Pemberton myself, but if you don't want to take a chance that IS the route to go. I have been reading this board for a long time and I have seen nothing but good things about his service and quality. If I wasn't such a price hound that is what I would do.

The interesting thing about Pemberton is that if you called and asked his advice about a car that he had nothing to gain on he would....
a. Give you ENDLESS advice about it, in multiple languages, totally free of charge.
b. Encourage you to buy it if it were a great deal. Really!
c. Maybe even get involved to check the car out, or at least reference one of his zillion customers/viper buds locally to the car that would check it out for you.
d. See the deal is, this guy is WHACKO about Vipers and anyone in the market new or used should seriously consider calling him and taking advantage of his propensity to give free advice! One caveat, you might find he has YOUR car, you know the EXACT one, perfect color combo, at several bucks less than you thought was possible...that's what happened to me!

Lots of great deals on Vipers, just wait until more srt's are on the road and it will get lower...

Being a price hound is a good reason to call Pemberton. I am constantly amazed at the deals friends have gotten from him and have never heard of a dissappointment. One buddy who is on his third Snake was so happy with his purchase (Bill had detailed the car which he had described as "in good condition", "damned near perfect" would have been closer, put new tires on it etc.) while driving back to Texas he passed a cop and forgot to tell me about the ticket he collected until he spent an hour raving about the deal he got. Now that's the way to kick off the Viper experience. If someone doesn't at least call the guy before buying a car they have only themselves to blame afterward.

Also looked at a "perfect" Viper at Highline a couple of years ago.......it was trashed when I saw it in person.....apparently had quite a bit of track time.....scuffed and scraped EVERYWHERE......would not recomend them for a potential purchase based on my various visits there......
