My car showed up around 1pm today and I have been in and out of it ever since. Here are some of my observations:

1. Pretend like there is ICE on the road, this well ensure you do not run up the RPM's. (works for me)

2. Driveways are a *****! finally found the perfect angle without
rubbing the bottom.

3. The car is a lot more easier to drive than I expected.

5. Cockpit gets extremely hot.

6. Other people really can't drive.

7. Can't wait to drive it tommorrow.

Congrats!

Watch the torque once you break her in...it is deceptively strong and will lull you into thinking you have the car figured out...and it'll bite you.

I almost learned from personal experience and I want you to keep that beautiful machine in one piece

Go and try out your car (once it's broken in) in a vacant parking lot. Do some spins and get to know how far to go with the car.....if you're into that.

You'll se what I mean when you see Chuck and myself on Speedvision on June 7 in the American Muscle car edition.....

Congratulations! You will likely become very addictive and a Viperholic. With the purchase of your new car, D-C pays for your first years membership in the VCA.

1. You made it home, Great!
2. Follow the brake in procedure and likely the Snake will not get away from you for at least 250 miles.
3. Get to know your regions VCA members and join in with their events.
4. Take a Skip Barber 2 day Performance Driving School as soon as possible. 25% discount to VCA members
5. Take a Skip Barber Car Control Clinic as soon as possible after 4. Repeat at least once every spring when before your snake comes out of Winter its sleep. 10% discount to VCA members.
6. Take the Skip Barber 3 day Racing School as soon as possible after your first 5. 10% discount to VCA members.
7. Do a couple Lapping Days and by now your snake should be ready to run a full throttle on a track. 10% discount to VCA members.
8. Do a Viper Days and as many Open track events as necessary to keep your eyes, hands and feet connected to your brain and car seat, After a few schools you will know what I mean,

I suggest to contract with a Skip Barber instructor to ride with you at track events. They will help you take seconds from your lap times. Ask the instructors from the classes you take to ride with you. If they say NO? Keep on taking Car Control Clinics and Lapping Days until one says yes. They will not ride with you if you have demonstrated a lack of performance driving ability.

Brake in a straight line, add power when the wheels are pointed straight. Roll into the throttle, stomping the throttle will upset the car, your passenger, and the cops. None of these things are good!

To go fast on a track, knowing how to drive a stock Viper is more important than having more HP.

Good Luck and keep the rubber on the road and wheels pointed where you want to go.

Hey Antonio, will you record it for me? I don't have speedvision. Or maybe I can come over and watch it with you and your "fiance." What was his name?

Fred is right. A school or two would be good. Afterwards, track time, track time, track time. Even if you spend more time polishing it than driving it, track time is important.
