$26.5K for a salvage title. I sold a '99 with a clean title just under that.

I think Cat's point was that $26.r (with reserve not yet met) was high for a car with the damage listed in the accompanying text. I agree, that's a sub $20K car as it sits.

That's a bummer...I like the color. Not so sure that hood is sitting right anymore either. I agree...way too high of an asking price for a "Total Loss". If I was a mechanic, had shop space, and an extra $18k lying around, I’d consider fixing her up as a spare to the ‘95. At least I would be able to take this one out in the rain!

I don't think I could ever seal a car deal over the internet. I bought the '95 on Craigslist, but I flew down to CA to check it out before signing my life away. What makes me curious is that this guy is saying that the title is "clear" and not "salvaged". Who/What determines the title status?

people will actually bid on a dog **** from the back yard, its amazing the public on how they will buy anything, they would bid on a rusty nail, and it would bring a penny, but someone will bid on it...
