hardtop prob solved - I\'m a dolt
I had posted that my hardtop popped open on the passenger side 3 times in about 1200 mis. It seemed the latch was real loose. I had been trying to get it in the shop but the weather's been bad. Well the weather broke & I sat down to take a close look before I called for an appointment, I found that the latches weren't turned all the way, they were only turned about 75%, so the passenger side would eventually vibrate loose. Now when I turn them solidly all the way they lock in & the top is totally secure. When I picked up the viper the tech un-latched & latched the top a couple of times showing me, & he only took it to 75%, I made the mistake of not reviewing my owners manual about the latch position & relying on the tech - oops. His bad for showing me wrong, but my bad on not hitting every word in the owners manual .. lesson learned. I just wanted to give an update in case anyone remembered the post & was concerned about hardtop issues.
