I'm in the process getting some stuff chromed while baby is in hibernation but concerns were raised about the springs on the hood hinge and the hood hing supports. Do the springs have to come off the hinge and support before getting chromed or can they be chromed while still on the brackets? Has anyone had these done? I was also thinking of the hood latch, striker, hood hold down roller bracket, hood lower rear stabilizer and stabilizer catch but some of these have plastic pieces riveted on. Also wondering about closing issues if some of these didn't have grease on them. I know R & J Distributing does some of these but I have a local shop(within a few miles) that is very reputable that I will probably use. Any pics of some chromed?

Mine is chromed, not a -73 but a -93, well, close enough... :D I'm like a crow, I like shiny things... :D
Ron (Venomblue550) took care of it. Fast in and out service. I would recommend Ron.
I found that locally the prices were rediculous... He also chromed my blower parts.

RedEnuf93, that looks great! Do you know if Ron disassembled the springs before he chromed them?

I dont know, but judging of how strong they are etc.. propably not.

Chrome is not flaking after 7 months of usage.
