I have a 1995 RT/10 in the UK. It has only covered 6000 miles and now when I switch to air con the compressor does not engage.I suspect when I had an alarm fitted a fusible link may have been blown. Can anybody help a poor "limey" and give me the possible causes and how to remedy them.

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone tell me were the fuse or fusible link protecting the air con is on a 1995 RT/10 because it is not in the footwell fusebox on the passenger side.I thought I would try this first and if that was ok I would then bypass the pressure switch to see if the pressure has dropped.

It's off the + battery jumper post - it branches off the main heavy gauge red
wire - it is 12g gray wire - I think there are a few gray wires - but only
one that is 12gauge - the other gray wire is 16 or 18 gauge(smaller)
They will be bundled with an overwrap of tape.
