HELP NEED INFO ABOUT DRAG RADIALS 17\" ON 2001 RT10>>>

hey guys,

well my track day is coming up may 5th and i bought a pair of 315 17 inch drag radials from tire rack.

my question is since john purner told me that the 17 inch fronts may have some clearance problems on the 2001 cars because of the abs and new brake setup. something about grinding a bolt in the rear setup. my question is will the 17 inch stock fronts fit no problem or has anybody tried john's 12 inch wide 17 inch race wheels on the rear of a 2001 yet.

i need to know urgently as i want to buy whichever will NOT require modifying the car!!!

17" rear wheels will not fit on a stock '01, but according to Mumford by shaving off most of the head of the rear brake line banjo bolt where it enters the caliper, you can make them fit. I'm going one step further and fitting 16" rear wheels on my '01, and that requires more extensive surgery. See the related post '16" Purner Wheel Question" elsewhere in this forum.

I'm not aware of any issues with 17" front wheels on the '01s.
