Im interested in buying a 1997 GTS-R with a vin# of 1B3ER69EXVV300802. My question is did they make an "R" this year and if so would any from Schaumburg, IL 60193 please take a look at it for me.

Frank, the VIN does come up as a RED 1997 GTS. No R's in 97, just 98 look-a-likes. Did they mean "R" is for red??

How hard would it be to turn a 97 gts to a gts-r look-alike? Always liked the look, can't afford the real one.
