I did it in my driveway in about 2 hours.

Get these springs.

Summit Racing Part # EIB-2830-140 - $279.95

You can use factory shocks. Align after.

You must be registered for see images

Great modification for the cost/effort.

Just a suggestion - get a set of dual-adjustable (bump/rebound) shocks that also have the spring height adjustment built in. You can then change to an after market spring and be able to fine tune the height you want. Its more money, but, you have also improved the handling

An example, I lowered mine and had a problem getting into my drive, I merely adjusted the the system to get the ideal height, then, had an alignment. About the install time - two hours to remove the shocks, then the springs from the assembly and then reinstall is pretty tough to do your first time. Sapphire GTS could make a lot of money as a mechanic. You will also need a spring compressor.

Northwind Engineering's cut down spring cups

Billet alloy 9mm shorter than OE spring caps to lower ride height 1/2"-5/8".
• Installation does not require removal of coilover!
• Four wheel alignment required after lowering.

How difficult is the installation of these Spring Caps ?
Is it a do-it-yourself job or does it require special tools, etc ??
