Did a search, everything came up about how to change bulbs but I need to remove the entire headlight housing to remove the clear plastic lenses. Does this involve removing the front bumper? Thanks for any help.

Remove the fascia and you will see four bolts with varying numbers of shims holding each headlight in place. If you only want to remove the internal parts of the headlight (everything except for the outside lens, which I believe cannot be separated from the body of the headlight housing,) then you just remove the phillips screws visible when you take off the rear panel of the headlight as if you were going to change the bulbs.

That's what I was afraid of. So I guess the front bumper has to come off to get the lenses off. Darn! Thanks for your help DrDJ

I believe most headlight lenses are "glued" to the housing. Alot of people use heat guns to soften the glue and remove the lenses. New sealant will have to be used (usually silicone glue). I don't know whether the Viper's headlights are the same or not.

And if your gaps and alignment of hood, fascia and headlamps are perfect, then remember the location of all shims. If it is not, this is the time to get it right.
