Put my OEM air intake back on today. Too much rain here in Florida to risk it! So I guess the K&N will sit in the box till winter.

Why do you feel the OEM is better than the K&N in the rain?

I have the K&N intake system (filters and tube to the throttle body) on mine. You are supposed to put the K&N system back into the OEM location and re-install the OEM covers. If that is done, litterally the only difference is the filters themselves.

TowDog my 08' has 2 throttle bodies thus 2 air tubes. The OEM unit consolidates the 2 tubes into 1 air box. This OEM configuration won't allow any water into the intake at speed. The K&N system for my 08' has 2 separate tubes and two separate filters. These filters are visible through the scoop in the hood. Where(when driving at speed)are directly in the path of water that would come through the air scoop.
