Looking a at a yellow RT/10 with 35000 miles and dealer is asking 50k. Also if anyone knows of any 2001 or 2002 cars in the that price range let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ethan

Check classifieds for other options. Example by dodgevipersforsale.com - 2001 Yellow RT with hardtop and only 5900 miles = $59k. Is the extra 30,000 miles worth $9k savings? Good Luck!

PartsRack has 2 Yellow RT/10s available.

2001 and 2002, with average miles and hard tops.

BOTH are under $55000 !

Guys, really. 35K miles is not a lot. If the car was maintained I would have no problem getting a car with this type of mileage(oh wait I did, twice!). If you can negotiate the price down, good for you. If you plan on keeping it as garage art, then I would spend a little more and get a 4000 mile garage queen. If you plan on driving it a lot, get what suits you best. :2tu:

Hell, I'd sell my '01 w/ 15k miles, both tops, and some minor boltons for $52k. I've even got the Maximum Care 'till 60k miles. Mine's a driver, tho, has some stone chips on the front bumper, etc.
I've got the urge for a '03....
;)

Well the price on autotrader for McCarthy is 52k and it has over 38,000 miles. Just my thought.

NO!

I live here in Dallas, there is an "01" at Texas Toys in Houston that I was looking at when I bought mine.
That car can be has for mid to upper 40's with under 30K miles.
Not sure where the car is, but might want to make sure it is not the "rental" car (yellow RT/10 with 31K miles when I saw it about a months ago) from that leasing place off 75 and Plano or Park rd.
That car looked to have been rode hard and put up wet!
Just my .02 Cents.
They have in the past few weeks moved to a black "03/04" SRT as a rental so this may be the same car they had???
I picked up an "02" for low/mid 50's with less than half the miles of that. (15K)
If you want someone to look at it with/for you, there are several of us here in the area including myself that would be happy to give any of them a "look"

My car is the same as this one except it does not have the stone chips. $51,999 and we have a deal.

Prices are terrible right now (buyers market). I bought my 2002 RT/10 in 2002 new for mid $60s (7 miles). I paid too much. I'm told now it's only worth mid 50s - with only 9K miles.

But then it's not about the investment - I love driving the car - that is what's all about - "DRIVING the car."

I don't know if I would trust a low miles car - the kinks haven't been worked out.

I wouldn't have any problem buying a used Viper with 30K or so. Great prices (for the buyers anyway) - not so good for the sellers.

I like to think I am contibuting to the "buyers' market." Two weeks ago I bought a Silver 98 GTS with 27,500 miles (I consider that "middle mileage" for a Viper) for $40k. I'll admit the car is not perfect, but with a little lovin' it will be a ton of fun. My goal is to get it to "my" specs for a total under $45k.

I just bought my 2001 Viper GTS with 7K miles on it for $53000 from a local Dodge dealer.

I added an additioonal 4 year/50K mile warranty for $1750 on top of that.

Screaming deal don't you think. It was the owners car.

I'll bet he is cruising my Yellow 03 Cobra now.

They even gave me a HIGH $25000 for my 03 Cobra. Paperwork read %52 for the Viper, 24 for the Cobra.

Look around, good deals are out there.

Howard
