Is a Vec 1 harmful to the motor in anyway?

Has anyone experienced any problems with there car relating to the Vec 1 after installation? Burning Valves? Computer Problems?

It totally depends on what YOU do with it. You could hurt the engine if you used the VECI to make it too lean or have too much timing.

I don't think the VEC1 does timing.. But you could make your engine too rich or lean for sure with it.

It does do timing, on the high setting, between -14/-20 the timing is advanced about 6-7 degrees. read the instructions, they explain everything.
