Is it possible to replace a Gen I hood with a Gen II hood and if so, is the hood all that is required or would other parts be needed? Hardware? Intake?

tarfungo,

The hood will bolt on. However, you will also need the airbox assembly (and any related hardware) from a Gen II. You'll need this because of the NACA duct.

Is there a difference between the early GENII hoods and the later ones? I swear some of the later ones have the pointy part in the front by the headlights rounded off.

Or, if you are trying to keep your car stock-looking, you could go to the trouble that I've seen some owners go to - have the two vents and NACA duct filled in. Lots of work to make it invisible, but, some people prefer the smooth hood, and, since you can't get them any more, using a Gen II hood is pretty much your only option.
