Is the 96 GTS Cam better than 97 GTS Cam

Don't know on the cam, but why aren't you running the 8# pulley? :usa:

Vegas, from what I hear or understand the 96, 97's have the same cam. I've also heard the 98's were the same too. I wouldnt' call them better. Don't the creampuff vipers hold the best E.T. and MPH for stock vipers?

Shelby, i ended up with cast engine after Arrow rebuild.

Gerald, its my understanding that they are better than Creampuff Cams

Cam is better - if you add headers n throttle bodies n roller rockers the cam enances those additions.

Idle is lumpy - like it should be for a muscle car - creampuffs idle is great if you are a previous caddy owner.

I guess there is HP too - thats why my 2001 race car as a 97 cam in it!

I think most 96 Vipers shipped with the GenI engine and cam profile (415 HP), but there was some production of GTS's with the GenII engine and cam profile (450 HP). Can someone confirm this?

96 GTS 97 GTS - same cam

98-Exhaust AND Intake lift changed from .541 to .542

00-Valve overlap went from 66.o degrees to 60.0 degrees
