It\'s home - Neighbors think I\'m nuts ...

I finally got to bring the Viper home yesterday once the snow was pretty much melted off the streets. And since it got dirtier than I had hoped, I pulled it into the snowy driveway and washed it as it was getting dark last night.

About 10 degrees below freezing, but there was no way I was putting it in a garage dirty. Now I'm pretty sure the neighbors think I am nuts. It's probably best that way, now they won't mess with me :) Pictures are a little dark, but have a look. The last one is its natural state for the time being ...

Nice color!! The story is funny.

I did the same thing when I picked up my 01 a couple years ago. Drove it home in December and washed it outside with the flood lamps on in about 10 degree weather. Then pulled it in the garage to dry it off. I know my neighbors think I am nuts as well, blow drying the car with my leaf blower.

My neighbors just stand at their window shaking their heads when I'm out in the driveway washing my car in the winter. The best part is when the driveway freezes up with the run off and I'm washing the car like I'm on skates... :2tu:

trust me, it only gets worse over time and especially during warm weather. :D

it looks like a gorgeous car. but next time, turn the lights on so we can see it!! :D

I get the same thing with the leaf blower...pretty funny. I did the wash and shine on ice thing with my '72 Blazer in high school. You had to be real good to wash it then rinse it and dry it before it all turned to ice not to mention falling and braking your neck running around the darn thing.

Great color combo and yes leaf blowers work great, especially if the paint has a coat or more of Zaino or something similar.

Wow and I thought I was bad. Cant say it was 10 below but I have done similar. Can't be dirty!!!! I need a heated garage and then I would never leave. Here is a picture from the last winter wash, another member of the sapphire club:

Washing your Viper at night at 10 degrees below freezing. What's nuts about that? :D

Congrats on a great looking car! Now move back to NorCal where it's clear, sunny and about 60 degrees. :cool:

Better get the checkbook out, you need tubes and filters, new shifter, high flo cats and exhaust.

I hate to break it to you, but after your wash, your rotors got a little rusty...time for a bit of a spirited drive to clean them off!

NHL, you might be right! I'll put that spirited drive on my May calendar. It will probably take that long to have clean roads again :-(
