I have a friend who spends big money on Vipers for the track, but likes driving them to the events.

Nah, you guys can't get rid of us that easily. Probably will build some new cars over the winter. Its important for us to get as many Vipers out there on the track as possible and thought it might give some drivers the opportunity to race them in NASA, SCCA or even VRL.

These cars are more Comp Coupe than SRT10's underneath the skin. I have to say, out of all the misc race cars I have raced over the years, (Porsche, BMW, Corvettes, Mitsubishi) these SRT Vipers are my favorite....so far. These things are so comfortable to drive on the limit.

I really dig them.

Sure could! Just change out the tires and a few small other things and you would be ready to go. I just did it a few weeks ago.

These cars have clean titles...so getting a car loan from the bank is possible as well.

She might be looking towards the Comp Coupe. There has been alot of talk in SCCA about setting up new classes, allowing the Comp Coup in a class other than GT-1, and still be allowed to run in the National Class.
