A couple of friends and I just got finished putting the roller rockers on my car this evening. Before we began the project, I expected to benefit from the rockers and pushrods. I never would have thought this modification would have been as much bang for the buck as it turned out to be. As my buddy got under the car to guide the socket onto the crank pully bolt, he asked me if I wanted to know something interesting. About that time he pulled the pully bolt right out from underneath the car and handed it to me. The thing was just hanging in the hole. He only had to turn it about 5 revolutions to pull it out. I don't know what would have happened if the pully would have come loose while spinning at high rpm, but I'm sure it would have done some serious damage. While the rockers cost me a good bit of money, this modification saved me a from a great deal of pain and agony a few miles down the road. Has anyone else ever had a loose crank pully bolt? I've never heard of such a thing? It kinda makes me wonder what else is about to fall off the car.
