I have been trying to figure out how to post the open image and not have to attach the pic. I think I figured it out.

Ahhhhh, very nice SAPPHIRE ACR~! That is gorgeous...okay, now you can tell ME the secret of posting an 'open' pic, and not just a link? ~juli
(I have a devil of a time posting pics here...so I just post links, under 'advanced' and 'manage attachments', a new fella directed me to that after all these years here...kudos to him...but I'd love to upload a PICTURE in my posts as well as you did, Bob...good work!)

To post a picture like the ACR above you need to have the link where the picture is locatred, BUT on the outside of the link, you type the following....
You must be registered for see images
.

The

brackets are what tells this website (as well as otage boards. to use "php code" for the followint litem and when the website sees the following, it knows to produce an image (hence img)

The only way I could get it to work for me was to first upload the image to the web site. After that I right click on the pic and go to properties. The URL is listed. Copy the URL. Click on insert image when you are posting and then paste it and you are good to go.

ooops, my PC restarted and I didn't get to finish what I wrote.... Anyhoo to place an image, copy the link, like mentioned above and paste it in a thread with the "img code brackets" on the outsides.

Like this, but don't have any spaces:

You must be registered for see images

php code and html code have many simularities and placing the brackets on the outside tell the code how to function.

yeah, that http:// it puts in the box when you click on the image icon is quite confusing if you're not familiar with this stuff. I really wish they wouldn't do that, but it's a vBulletin behavior that you can't change.
