I recently returned from Sun Valley. I was going to drop off a rented Mountain Bike and I missed the turn off to where the bike shop was and drove straight into town. I was driving a Ford Excursion so if you've driven one, its pretty hard to tell how fast you're going without looking directly at the speedometer. I was stopped by the local policeman. He wrote me up for 53 in a 35. He was decent enough about it. I told him it was kind of ironic since I've been driving a Viper for the last 2 1/2 years without a speeding ticket. He informed me that he is usually pretty lenient when it comes to Vipers and Ferraris. I tried to explain to him that since the Excursion had a V10 in it, it was sort of like a Viper. He didn't buy it.
I thought it was interesting that he compared Vipers and Ferraris together. He was probably just sick of all the Porsches in town.
